Founder: Mickey Malone - 1943-1988

Mickey was born in Hugo Oklahoma in 1943. At the age of 16, his dream was to someday be in business for himself. When he was 18, he started working for Anderson Plumbing Company in Fort Smith, Arkansas as an apprentice plumber and went on to become a journeyman plumber by trade. He worked for other plumbing companies in the Fort Smith area such as Briley's Plumbing & Heating Company and Burgess Plumbing and Heating Company in Arkoma, Oklahoma. In 1973 the dream he had of someday owning his own business came true. He first started Malone's Plumbing and Heating Company and in 1985 the company was incorporated as Malone's Mechanical, Inc. He built the company with a strong back, a prayer and a saying which meant a lot to him.

"A gentleman defined is a man who is clean both inside and out, who neither looks up to the rich nor down to the poor, who can lose without squealing and win without bragging, who is considerate to women, children and old people, who is too brave to lie and too generous to cheat. who takes his share of the world and lets other people have theirs".

He believed to have a strong company was to carry those values, not just do the job and leave, but to put quality work and pride in each project the company completed. That is still the roots of the company's foundation today.
